Veterans Advantage Member Terms & Conditions
Welcome to the terms and conditions ("Terms") for members enrolled in Veterans Advantage. These Terms are between you and Veterans Advantage, PBC ("VA", "VeteransAdvantage.com" or "We") and govern our respective rights and obligations. Please review the following Terms of Veterans Advantage member accounts, VetRewards Card subscription plans, and TravelProtection subscription plans carefully. Your use of the VeteransAdvantage.com website and Veterans Advantage membership are also governed by the agreements listed below, as well as all other applicable terms, conditions, limitations, and requirements on the VeteransAdvantage.com website, all of which (as changed over time) are incorporated into these Terms. If you register for a free Veterans Advantage member account, or sign up for a 30-Day paid trial, or enroll in a full paid subscription plan, you must accept these terms, conditions, limitations, and requirements. These current Terms and Terms of Service posted on www.veteransadvantage.com govern all use of Veterans Advantage (“VA”) services, its member site, member plans, and membership program.
You may register for a free VA member account online, or continue in the online form to enroll in a paid VetRewards plan. You may also enroll in VetRewards by toll-free phone at 1-866-VET-REWARDS (1-866-838-2774) 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET, M-F. With your enrollment, you agree to provide accurate and current personal and military service information with a military affidavit of service signed with your electronic signature and to notify us if that information changes. Your electronic signature is legally valid and binding in all 50 states. As a paid VetRewards Card subscriber, you are provided with private coupon codes, access to discounts on our partner sites or private partner online stores with exclusive partner discounts which you may redeem. Misrepresenting your eligibility for these benefits, distribution or resale of this information, or repurposing to other parties outside the VA member program is strictly prohibited, represents fraud and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. VA reserves the right to cancel your enrollment if we are unable to verify your, or your family’s, service record. In such cases, refunds will be at the company’s discretion.
VA currently offers membership with several different member plan accounts, including free Veterans Advantage accounts, paid primary accounts for the military veteran or veteran family member (whether the veteran is living or deceased), paid family account plans (for the household dependent of the primary member), and free sponsored card accounts (plans purchased by individuals or businesses, or made available through VA, to underwrite complimentary VetRewards Card for wounded veterans, deserving individuals or groups). A primary member may add up to 4 family cards to their account for 50% off the primary plan fee for new and existing accounts or extend their plan by purchasing an additional 24 months or 48 months to extend the member plan at a discounted rate for each term. A primary member enrolled in a 12 month or longer plan is also eligible to purchase low-cost TravelProtection subscription with insurance coverage under our group policy and sign up coverage for each member on their account at $20 each annually. The TravelProtection subscription has the same term length and will auto-renew at the end of the member term along with the VetRewards subscription. The subscription plan fees for VetRewards are published online in the enrollment form and in our Help pages. VA offers different subscription plan terms, and the fees for such subscriptions may vary. All subscription plan fees are non-refundable. You may cancel a plan at any time by removing your plan from auto-renew and can use the plan until the end of your term. VA may change the specific account plans or services offered to our members from time to time and has the right to do so without advance notice to our members.
Auto-Renew of Subscription Plans
An auto-renewal subscription plan is a subscription that Veterans Advantage will regularly renew on your behalf when your current subscription term expires. Your initial sign-up is an authorization for us to use your credit card registered with your account to pay for your subscription and any subscription renewals. Upon your account auto-renewal date, Veterans Advantage will charge the next term fee. All VA subscription plans provide for automatic monthly charges for monthly plans or after an initial yearly term, you will receive a renewal for a 12-month plan. You may add additional discounted months to your 12-month plan at any time when you go to MY ACCOUNT. On the "Manage Subscription" page, select "Add Extension" under the "12-Months" description of your term for an additional 24 or 48 months at a discounted rate. If all eligible payment methods we have on file for you are declined for payment of your subscription fee, we will send you a notice by email. You must provide us a new eligible payment method promptly or your paid plan may be canceled and your account downgraded to a free Veterans Advantage account. If you provide us with a new eligible payment method and are successfully charged, your new member subscription period will be based on the original renewal date and not the date of the successful charge. If you have further questions regarding this policy, please contact us online or by toll-free phone at 1-866-VET-REWARDS (1-866-838-2774) 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET, M-F.
Updating Your Auto-renewal Preferences
All subscriptions will auto-renew at the end of the subscription period unless you adjust your auto-renewal preferences in My Account on VeteransAdvantage.com when you go to "Manage Subscription" and de-select the box for auto-renew. Auto-renewal is a member service designed as a convenience and to avoid any interruption in your benefits, including your VetRewards CarePackage, and $50,000 of emergency Medvec and $5,000 AD&D as TravelProtection insurance coverage, when applicable. VA can only guarantee non-interruption of these services, benefits, and insurance coverage for members enrolled in auto-renew. If you wish not to continue with any paid plans, it is your responsibility to opt out of auto-renew, prior to your renewal date. For members who opt out of auto-renew, you may manually renew your plan by phone, however, manual renewals may take longer to process and 4-6 weeks to ship you a renewed card. Any loss of benefit coverage during this lapsed period is the full responsibility of the member. If you have further questions regarding this policy, please contact us online or by toll-free phone at 1-866-VET-REWARDS (1-866-838-2774) 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET, M-F.
As a new member, you are eligible for a one-time paid trial of our subscription plans for exclusive benefits with the VetRewards Card. During your trial period, if you do not plan to continue with your plan after the trial period, it is your responsibility to cancel the trial so you will have no further obligation. Go to My Account online at VeteransAdvantage.com to edit your auto-renewal preference. If you enroll for trial membership and do not cancel within the trial period, you will be charged the full subscription plan fees on the day following the completion of the trial period. Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you have further questions regarding this policy, please contact us online or by toll-free phone at 1-866-VET-REWARDS (1-866-838-2774) 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET, M-F.
Sending Your VetRewards Card by First Class Mail
Your personalized VetRewards Card and Veterans Advantage Benefit Directory will be shipped via First Class USPS mail after you pay in full for your plan, or after you convert from a 30-day trial plan, or after VA receives your payment on your auto-renewal date. You can always see your auto-renewal date in My Account using the tab on the left side of the account page called "Manage Subscription". It is important to note that your auto-renewal date is your billing date, and is not the same as the expiration date printed on the face of your VetRewards Card. We have provided you an extra 30 day grace period for the printed expiration on your VetRewards Card, so you may have an active card until your renewed card is shipped and to avoid any interruption in benefits coverage. You should receive your new card in approximately 2-3 weeks, which is prior to your current card's printed expiration date. Your VetRewards Card will be auto-renewed and you will be shipped a new card until such time you no longer wish to continue as a subscriber and opt- out of auto-renew. If your credit/debit card account cannot be charged to the current card on file, your account will be canceled after a short grace period and downgraded to a free Veterans Advantage account.
It is your responsibility to keep your email address up-to-date in MY ACCOUNT, which can be reached from the top of each page of the site under your name. Each family member account plan you have included in your primary account plan must also register their email to be able to log in and receive communications from us. If we do not have a unique email from each user, we may not be able to pass important information on to you. We keep you advised of new functionality, services and website features and your account status via email. Veterans Advantage also delivers member email communications with new discount and benefits news, military community news, and information specific to the greater military community, such as information regarding federal entitlements. VA does its best to provide accurate information but does not verify or guarantee the authenticity of the information provided to our members.
Cancellation & No Refund Policy
You may cancel your paid subscription plan anytime by visiting My Account and de-selecting the auto-renew in "Manage Subscription". If you cancel within 30 days of signing up for a trial before you convert to a paid membership, you owe nothing. Your plan will be downgraded to a free account and you may enjoy non-exclusive benefits and savings that are available to all who participate in our community. If you cancel at any other time, your subscription fees will not be refundable. You may opt-out of our paid subscriber auto-renew at any time and use the remaining term on your account. At the end of your current term, you will owe nothing further and your account will be automatically downgraded to a free Veterans Advantage member account.
UNLESS YOU NOTIFY US BEFORE A CHARGE THAT YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION PLAN OR DO NOT WANT TO AUTO RENEW, YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR SUBSCRIPTION PLAN WILL AUTOMATICALLY CONTINUE AND YOU AUTHORIZE US (WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU, UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW) TO COLLECT THE THEN-APPLICABLE PLAN FEE AND ANY APPLICABLE TAXES, USING ANY ELIGIBLE PAYMENT METHOD WE HAVE ON RECORD FOR YOU.
Termination by VA
VA may terminate your subscription plan or member account at our discretion without notice with providing refunds at our discretion. In particular, we will not give any refund for termination related to conduct that we determine, in our discretion, violates these Terms or any applicable law, involves fraud or misuse of the Veterans Advantage membership or subscription plans, or is harmful to our interests or another user. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with these Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.
Promotional & Trial Offers
VA sometimes offer new or free members various trial or other promotional offers for new enrollment in a subscription plan, which is subject to these Terms & Conditions, except as otherwise stated in the promotional offers. The trial offer is for one-time use only. Trial members may at any time (through My Account) choose not to continue to a paid subscription plan at the end of the trial period by de-selecting the auto-renew option under "Manage Subscription". Promotional offers for new enrollment cannot be combined with other promotions, and cannot be applied retroactively.
If you add TravelProtection to your primary plan and family cards, you must select a beneficiary for the $5,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and notification contact for the repatriation of remains benefit under the $50,000 Medical Evacuation insurance policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties
EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN THIS PROVISION, THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND VA DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY, CONDITION, GUARANTY, OR REPRESENTATION RELATED TO THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT AND THOSE ARISING BY STATUTE OR OTHERWISE IN LAW OR IN THE COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. THE FUNCTIONS, MATERIALS, AND CONTENT OF THE SITE ARE NOT WARRANTED TO BE UNINTERRUPTED OR WITHOUT ERROR, AND VA AND ITS PROVIDERS DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, CURRENCY OR RELIABILITY OF INFORMATION ON THE SITE. YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE RISK AND COST OF REPAIRS OR CORRECTIONS TO YOUR HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE DUE TO THE USE OF THE SITE.
Limitations of Liability and Remedies
IN ADDITION TO OTHER LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS IN VETERANSADVANTAGE.COM'S TERMS OF SERVICE OUR TOTAL LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT EXCEED THE LAST SUBSCRIPTION PLAN FEE YOU PAID. THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY WILL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND WILL SURVIVE CANCELLATION OR TERMINATION OF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION PLAN OR MEMBERSHIP.
YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND THE MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR SOLE RISK. VA, AND VA'S DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, LICENSORS, AGENTS OR AFFILIATES OR OWNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTIES FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER FROM USE OF THE SITE OR VIRUSES, OR DIRECT OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS OR LOST SAVINGS), WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, WHICH YOU MAY INCUR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR NONPERFORMANCE OF THE SITE OR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS EVEN IF VA HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR LOSS. VA is not responsible for, and shall have no liability with respect to, the content of third party websites that are linked to or from the site. If VA ceases operations, you agree that VA and its marketing partners, credit card processors, and credit card associations (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) shall have no liability, financial or otherwise associated with membership cessation. Your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of this agreement (other than VA ceasing operations, as to which the preceding sentence shall apply) shall be a refund of the fees paid for membership. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability to the extent set forth herein; therefore, this provision may not apply to every person as written.
Choice of Law and Venue
This Agreement shall for all purposes be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, the United States of America, applicable to contracts negotiated and fully performed within that State, and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Delaware in any action brought to enforce or arising out of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, VA shall have the right to commence and prosecute any legal or equitable action or proceeding before any United States or non-United States court of competent jurisdiction to obtain injunctive or other relief in VA’s sole discretion.
Claims or Disputes
Any dispute or claim relating in any way to these Terms or your use of Veterans Advantage, or to any products or services sold or distributed by Veterans Advantage or through Veterans Advantage.com will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. The Federal Arbitration Act and federal arbitration law apply to this agreement. There is no judge or jury in arbitration, and court review of an arbitration award is limited. However, an arbitrator can award on an individual basis the same damages and relief as a court (including injunctive and declaratory relief or statutory damages), and must follow the Terms & Conditions of Use as a court would.
To begin an arbitration proceeding, you must send a letter requesting arbitration and describing your claim to us at Veterans Advantage, PBC, Attn: Legal Department, 81 Holly Hill Lane, Greenwich, CT 06830. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its rules, including the AAA's Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes. The AAA's rules are available at www.adr.org or by calling 1-800-778-7879. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA's rules. We will reimburse those fees for claims totaling less than $10,000 unless the arbitrator determines the claims are frivolous. Likewise, Veterans Advantage will not seek attorneys' fees and costs in arbitration unless the arbitrator determines the claims are frivolous. You may choose to have the arbitration conducted by telephone, based on written submissions, or in person in the county where you live or at another mutually agreed to location.
We each agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated or representative action. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than in arbitration we each waive any right to a jury trial. We also both agree that you or we may bring suit in court to enjoin infringement or other misuses of intellectual property rights.
- Exclusivity. The branded term “VetRewards Exclusive” indicates a discount or offer that is restricted to Veterans Advantage members who are VetRewards subscribers and eligible for these offers versus those available to free members of Veterans Advantage. At no time is the term “VetRewards Exclusive” meant to imply that a discount or offer is exclusive to Veterans Advantage versus a discount or offer available to other individuals, groups or entities.
- Severability. These terms are severable. In the event that any provision is determined to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision shall nonetheless be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
- No Waiver. Failure to enforce a term of this agreement shall not be deemed a subsequent waiver of that term or other terms.
- Termination of Membership Permitted. The membership granted in this agreement shall terminate automatically without notice from VA if you fail to comply with any provision of this agreement. VA may terminate a membership at its sole discretion.
- Headings of No Effect. The headings in this agreement are used for convenience only and not for interpretation.
- Entire Agreement. This agreement is the entire understanding between you and Veterans Advantage regarding your access to, and use of the site, membership program, and its content, and supersedes any prior agreements, statements or representations with respect to the same.
