Vet News: Race Fans Can Give Back With The Salute To The Troops Ticket Package For Coke Zero 400

Daytona

Daytona International Speedway is partnering with the Wounded Warrior Project to deliver race fans the excitement of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race as well as the opportunity to contribute a donation to an important initiative. The Salute to the Troops ticket package, which starts at $52, includes a race ticket to the 52nd annual Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday night, July 3 and a Daytona International Speedway hat. A portion of the proceeds from each Salute to the Troops ticket package purchase will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit, nonpartisan organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors.

Over 37,000 of our nation’s armed forces have been physically wounded during the current military conflicts. Hundreds of thousands more are estimated to be recovering from invisible wounds of war, including post traumatic stress disorder, major depression, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Wounded Warrior Project assists wounded warriors and their families through a holistic approach to their recovery, providing programs and services to aid their physical rehabilitation and improve their mental health and well-being. Whether through caregiver retreats, combat stress programs, career and education services or adaptive sporting opportunities, WWP empowers warriors with the tools essential to not just survive their injuries but to thrive and achieve personal and professional success.

In addition to the ticket offer, 10 wounded warriors will attend the Coke Zero 400 Weekend and participate in the pre-race ceremonies, introducing the starting lineup for the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola to the crowd.

"Thousands of race fans from across the country celebrate their Independence Day holiday weekend at Daytona International Speedway," Track President Robin Braig said. "This ticket offer is great way to witness the excitement of racing as well as assist the men and women who have served our country."

The 52nd annual Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola will be the final race on the current asphalt of Daytona International Speedway. Following the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola, the entire 2.5-mile tri-oval will be repaved for only the second time in its history. Tickets for the Coke Zero 400 Weekend Powered By Coca-Cola and the Salute To The Troops ticket package are available online at http://www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP.
