Veterans Day 2022: Food Freebies for Veterans and Active Duty Personnel - Part I

With less than a month until Veterans Day, businesses across the country are announcing ways to honor and support active U.S. military, veterans, and their loved ones on Veterans Day. Publishing the Veterans Advantage Directory of “Veterans Day Deals, Discounts & Freebies” has become a popular annual tradition.

We’ll be updating our list often throughout the months of October and November, so visit often!

Please note: You’ll need to present a military ID, such as the VetRewards Card, to take advantage of most of these special discounts. We encourage you to call ahead to ensure your location is participating in a Veterans Day discount or freebie.

Ahi Poke Restaurant: On November 11, veterans and active-duty military receive 50% off Ahi Poke bowls. Dine-in or take out.

Applebee's: On November 11, Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a limited menu at participating Applebee’s on November 11. Dine-in only. Visit Applebee's website or your local restaurant for details.

Aroma Joes Coffee: On November 11, veterans and active duty military can get a free 24 oz. drink from participating locations.

Black Angus Steakhouse: On November 11 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm local time, participating restaurants will offer veterans and active duty military an All-American Steak Plate for just $10.99 plus all the fixings and a non- alcoholic beverage. A valid military ID is required.

Bruegger’s Bagels: On November 11, Veterans can get a free medium fresh-brewed hot or iced coffee with your breakfast.

Chick-fil-A: On November 11, veterans and active duty military can receive a regular sized chick-fil-a sandwich, waffle fries, and beverage for free. The discount is available from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Chili's Grill & Bar: On November 11, All veterans & active military members can get a free meal on Veterans Day November 11, 2022 at all participating Chili's Grill & Bar restaurants. Available for in-restaurant only. Please call ahead to your local Chili's restaurant if you have any questions about your Veterans Day meals.

Coffee Beanery: On November 11, all veterans and active duty military get a free grande fresh brewed cup of coffee.

D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches: Get 50% off your entire order for all veterans and active military members at D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches. Valid on Veteran's Day, November 11, ONLY, at participating locations. Valid for Dine-in or Carry Out orders ONLY(not online). Not valid on Lobster or Gift Cards.

Denny’s: On November 11, Denny's will be offering any Veterans or active-duty military personnel with a valid ID a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. until noon. A free pulled pork classic sandwich is available this Veterans Day as well.

Famous Dave’s: On November 11, veterans and active duty personnel receive a free Georgia chopped pork sandwich and a side at participating locations. Dine-in or to-go orders only. 

Friendly’s: On November 11, Friendly's is offering a free cheeseburger, fries, and soft drink to those who have honorably served.

Hard Rock Cafe: On November 11, both active-duty and retired military can receive a free Legendary Steak Burger at the Hard Rock Cafe. You can also get 15% off their food and beverage (non-alcoholic) items.

Hooters: On November 11, all military eat free from their special Veterans Day menu with a beverage purchase. Available at participating locations. The offer is dine-in only and 1 per person. Visit their website for additional details. 

IHOP: On November 11, IHOP is offering veterans and active duty members a free stack of Red, White, & Blueberry pancakes from 7:00am to 7:00pm. The offer is dine-in only and limited to 1 per guest. A valid military ID is required. 

Ikea: Veterans get a free adult entrée for Veterans Day on November 11. Check with your local store for timing. 

Joe’s Crab Shack: On November 11, veterans receive 20% off at participating Joe's Crab Shack.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts: On November 11, veterans get a free doughnut of choice and coffee. 

Macaroni Grill: This Veterans Day, November 11, all veterans and active-duty military receive a free Mom's Ricotta Meatballs + Spaghetti.

Mission BBQ: Veterans and active-duty military get a free sandwich on November 11.

O'Charley's: O’ Charley’s is offering free meals (a $10 value) to active-duty and retired military from their special “Veterans Thank You Menu” with valid ID, as well as a 10 percent military discount all year long. Check individual locations for participation. Show your VetRewards card at check out.

Outback Steakhouse: Outback Steakhouse is offering their Heroes Discount to military veterans and active servicemen and women on November 11 for 10% off your entire check (excluding alcohol and applicable taxes). Offer is available for dine-in or to-go orders only (call-in, not available for online ordering). Visit their website for additional information. 

Papa Gino's: Get 50% off pizzas for all veterans and active military members at Papa Gino's. Valid on Veteran's Day, November 11, ONLY at participating locations. Valid for Dine-in or Carry Out orders only (not online). Valid on whole pizzas only.

Red Lobster: In honor of Veterans Day, and to thank veterans, active-duty military, and reservists for their service, Red Lobster is offering a free Walt's Favorite Shrimp, fries, and coleslaw on dine-in and to-go orders placed in the restaurant between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm local time, on November 11. Valid military ID or proof of service required. Availability may vary. 

Starbucks: This Veterans Day, Starbucks is honoring those who have served with a free tall hot brewed coffee for veterans, military service members, and military spouses at participating U.S. Starbucks stores on November 11. A valid military ID is required and participation may vary depending on the location. 

Texas Roadhouse: On November 11, from 11:00am – 2:00pm local time, all active and retired military, or military veterans can receive a meal voucher. Valid with a military ID card, veterans affairs card, or discharge papers. The vouchers are good for dine in or carry out orders. The voucher is good until May 30, 2023. There will be a specific menu to select from. Be sure to call your local Texas Roadhouse for details.

Wendy's: In honor of Veterans Day, Wendy’s^® is thanking those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Military with a FREE breakfast combo offer with valid military ID or a Veterans Advantage card between 6:30 am and 10:30 am. Whether you’re a fan of the Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit or crowd favorite Breakfast Baconator^® combo, the offer is a small gesture of gratitude for the men and women who work tirelessly to protect our country.
