With the holidays and shopping for Veterans Day Sales approaching, retailers and national brands are starting to announce special freebies, deals and military discounts available to current and former military personnel.

If you’re in the hunt for a good deal on Veterans Day, this list of 7 places to shop will save you money – and give you the recognition you deserve. But before you head to the nearest store, be sure to confirm your savings beforehand. Then, simply bring your military ID with you to secure the freebie or discount.

1. Bed Bath & Beyond

Bed Bath & Beyond's annual Veterans Day Sale Event continues to be a popular annual military deal among those who served and their families. From November 9-12, VetRewards Cardholders are recognized with a 25% discount in-store on your entire purchase at Bed Bath & Beyond Stores nationwide. This 25% military discount is also available from other stores in the Bed Bath & Beyond family of brands, Christmas Tree Shops, Buy Buy Baby, Harmon Face Values and Cost Plus World Market.

2. Great Clips & Sports Clips

Celebrate Veterans Day by looking your best with a free haircut from your local Great Clips or Sport Clips location. The free haircut offer is a military deal only available on November 11th; however, if you’re not ready for a haircut on Veterans Day, Great Clips will give you a free haircut card you can use later. Plus, anyone who gets a haircut at Great Clips on Veterans Day will receive a free haircut card they can give to a veteran.

3. Free Car Wash

Every year, Grace for Vets gathers a list of nationwide locations that offer free car washes as a special military deal on Veterans Day. You can find a participating car wash by using the search bar on the Grace for Vets website. Last year alone, more than 260,000 cars were washed for free on Veterans Day in four countries!

4. Mattress Firm

From November 9th through November 13th, Mattress Firm is giving a 20% military discount to active duty military, veterans, their family members, and even first responders. While the deal hasn’t been posted online by Mattress Firm yet, you can access the discount with your military ID either in-store or online by phone or chat when you apply promotional code VETS20.

5. Eyemart Express

Grab your military ID and head to an Eyemart Express, Vision4Less, Visionmart Express, or Eyewear Express location from October 28th through November 17th for 20% off eyewear. With its 10% off military discount available all year, this is a special Veterans Day deal that offers a double of the everyday deal. Eyemart advertises that anyone with a valid military, DD214 or state-issued ID card, including retired, active and non-active military members, their dependents, and veterans.

6. Publix

If grocery shopping is on your Veterans Day to-do list, Publix is offering 10% off military discount on your entire shopping cart on November 11th in honor of your service. Some restrictions do apply to the discount; however, all military members, including veterans and family members, are eligible if they have a valid government military ID.

7. Tractor Supply Company

On November 11th only, Tractor Supply Company is offering a 15% military discount on all in-store purchases to anyone with a valid military ID or other proof of service, What’s more, the Veterans Day Sale discount is available at Tractor Supply’s more than 1,750 locations.
