VETERANS, and their FAMILIES, great discounts and special
offers on major brand names.
Veteran Advantage today joined top executives from Fortune 500 companies in announcing the Veterans Advantage Corporate Career Symposium, an inaugural program for military transitioning to corporate careers and Veteran-friendly jobs in finance, media, entertainment, technology, retail, insurance and diversified manufacturing. Citi will host the event on April 26, 2013 in their Tribeca offices at 388 Greenwich Street in downtown New York City.
Major U.S. companies who employ one million people globally are taking the leadership as kick-off supporters of the groundbreaking veteran careers initiative, including General Electric, CBS, Citi, DELL, Google, BAE Systems, Time Warner/HBO, Penn Mutual, Avis Budget, Prudential Financial and Tudor Investments and SAC Capital Advisors, both major billion-dollar hedge funds. Each company has agreed to contact the Veterans who submit their resumes at the Symposium.
Led by panel moderators Paul Bucha, Medal of Honor Recipient and West Point Graduate, and H. Scott Higgins, CEO and Founder of Veterans Advantage, a high powered group of top corporate executives, leading educators and veteran service providers will participate in morning and afternoon sessions on Veteran corporate job prospects, transitioning to a corporate culture, corporate career insights and networking, and corporate resume writing sessions. Each session culminates with resumes to be submitted for interviews to be arranged at a later place and time by the participating companies.
Due to space limitations, Veterans must pre-register for the free Symposium at http://www.VeteransAdvantage.com/careers
