Remembering the Gentle Heroes
Raised in New York City, Nelson spent his childhood playing stickball with pals and idolizing the Yankee greats of the 1950s. It was a good place to grow up. He and his friends abruptly entered adulthood when they landed in a world 10,000 miles away: the jungles of Vietnam.

Dance about Vietnam War Gets Washington Post Coverage
I was pleased to see the Washington Post reviewed Into Sunlight, the dance based on the book by David Maraniss, the Pulitzer-prize winning journalist. It is a special look at a series of events surrounding the Vietnam War, and we have been honored to sponsor this very important work of art, and host Veterans Advantage Members to see the production in New York City and Washington DC.
