•  How does the insurance and drug discount plan work?
  As part of your membership, we provide you $55,000 of insurance coverage under our Veterans Advantage group policy, plus travel assistance services and drug discounts. This coverage consists of $50,000 of medical evacuation insurance whenever you are more than 100 miles from home on business or leisure travel, $5,000 of AD&D insurance, AIG Assist toll-free emergency travel services worldwide, and a prescription drug discount plan accepted at 55,000 pharmacy locations nationwide. Veterans Advantage purchases these benefits under a group plan and we include them with every membership. You are eligible as long as you remain a member of Veterans Advantage and you have activated your benefits. There is no additional cost to activate. You cannot purchase these benefits independently of your membership or purchase more insurance coverage from Veterans Advantage. If you were to purchase this coverage in the general market, the estimated value of the premium for the insurance, travel assistance, and the prescription drug plan is $300 a year per member.
•  What do you do with the information I submit to show eligibility for the program?
  The only information printed on your card is your name and branch of service. All other information is kept confidential and used only to verify your service record and fulfill your card order.
•  Can I use the program benefits right away?
  Your online application is processed immediately and you will receive a confirmation with a printable card in your email box to use until your VA Members Card is received by you in the mail. The VA Card information will include your 10 digit Travel Discount Code, so you can make your discounted train, plane or bus reservations immediately! Please note that the prescription benefit is also available immediately. Login to Members Only and click on FREE Prescription Drug Plan under Health & Wellness to receive your electronic prescription drug card that can be used right away at your pharmacy.
•  When will I receive my Membership ID card?
  Your new VA Card ID will be mailed within 7-10 days of submitting your application, after processing your enrollment. Veterans Advantage reserves the right to request additional information or deny membership based on the service information provided. Along with your VA Card ID you will receive a Welcome Kit that will explain the VA Card Program benefits and services.
•  When will I receive the free the Veterans Advantage online newsletter?
  The VA member newsletters are weekly publications (sent by e-mail.) You will be emailed information on new and existing program benefits plus content of interest to Veterans and their families. Your first issue will be sent within a week of your joining. You must supply us an email address to receive this publication and may opt out at any time.
•  How do I find out about my benefits online and any special codes that are required?
  In the enrollment form, you must select a password to login the Members Only area of our web site at www.veteransadvantage.com From the homepage, select the red tab "Members Only" at the top of the page. You will be prompted to enter your VA Member ID and your password. You may then enter and enjoy the savings!
•  How much does a Veterans Advantage membership cost?
  Veterans Advantage is available in a 30-day trial for $4.95 and then with card terms of one, three or five years. For only $59.95 you can enjoy the program for a full year, with special discounts from patriotic companies like Continental Airlines, Dell, Greyhound, Apple, Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental, Target, NCL, and others that wish to thank those who serve and their families. You can save 20% if you purchase a 3-year card for $149.95 or save 37% if you purchase a 5-year card for $199.95. You can add up to 4 family cards onto your membership at half price (for household dependents only) and will be eligible for Members Only sales on your card renewal.
•  How will my 30-day trial work?
  Veterans Advantage gives you a 30-day trial during which time you can try it out and take advantage of all program benefits before paying for your annual membership. You pay just $4.95 to process your trial enrollment, and you will receive a personalized temporary printable card to access the money saving and insurance benefits right away, both online in Members Only and offline at partner locations. Within 7-10 days you should receive in the mail your membership package with your personalized members card, a 60 page benefits directory, and a welcome letter. During these thirty days, for any reason you decide you do not want to continue with a full membership, please contact us by clicking here or call 1-866-Vet-Assist (838-2774). Otherwise, at the end of the 30 day trial, you will continue as a full member for a low $59.95 annually (20% less if you opt for 3-year or 37% off for a 5-year enrollment) and enjoy the benefits for a full year. You can also add family cards to your membership at half price. As a full member, you are eligible for special Members Only renewal sales offered during your membership term.
