This picture sets forth an interesting vignette of what it was like in occupied Holland when the Nazis controlled the villages. It is not a movie about Dutch Christians saving Dutch Jews, and we are never taken to Amsterdam or Rotterdam. It is a story about an adolescent boy, Michael (Martijn Lakemeier), who saves a British flyer shot down near his home.
