David Rots: Kmart Corporation

David P. Rots is the Executive Vice President in charge of Human Resources and Administration for Kmart. Prior to joining Kmart in July 2000, he had been Vice President of Human Resources for Parke-Davis, a division of Warner-Lambert. Previously he held senior-level human resources posts at Whirlpool, SmithKline Beecham, and Pfizer.

Before joining Pfizer, Mr. Rots, 40, served as a medevac helicopter pilot and was on staff in the office of the U. S. Surgeon General. He is a major in the U.S. Army Reserves. He also represented the United States in international rowing competitions at the 1987 World Games.

A native of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Mr. Rots earned his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and his master’s in human resources at Troy State University in Alabama.
