As a Veteran or someone who is currently serving our military, you are entitled to receive 15% discounts on Amtrak travel with your Veterans Advantage VetRewards Card. This discount is available every day, for 15% OFF the best available rail fare on Amtrak, with a three-day advance purchase. Our benefit also allows you to upgrade for accommodation services. For instance, you are eligible for 15% OFF your rail fare portion, even when you upgrade to first class, business or sleeper and pay the full accommodation charge (accommodation charges are not discounted).

To book online at www.amtrak.com, use your Travel Discount Code from the face of your VetRewards Card. and select "Veterans Advantage" as your fare type--no promo code is required--and your 15% Amtrak discount will be applied to your reservation.

Amtrak has added two additional trains as eligible for the Veterans Advantage 15% Everyday Savings. The Veterans Advantage VetRewards Card can also get you 15% OFF the rail fare on Acela Express high-speed rail travel and travel on Metroliners in the Northeast corridor during weekends (Sat. & Sun. only.) Northeast Regional trains are eligible for 15% Everyday savings every day of the week with no blackout days. Please note: Acela Express has business and first class seating, however, only business class accommodations are eligible for this discount.

3. Amtrak Guest Rewards Combination 

• Veterans Advantage members are also eligible for 1,000 point frequent traveler bonus from Amtrak's frequent traveler program, Amtrak Guest Rewards. This is good on a free trip on some of Amtrak's most scenic routes, when they create a new Amtrak Guest Rewards account with a special code that comes with membership.
• You will also accumulate additional points each time you travel at Veterans Advantage discount rates.
