Membership Card Fees

The Veterans Advantage card benefit program is funded exclusively through annual fees from our cardholders. The fees total $59.95 per year, which amounts to an average of about $4.99 per month. Three or five year plans cost much less on an average monthly basis, too.

So, why is the card not free?

We work hard to keep the fees as low as possible. We strive to deliver a first-rate program with a robust package of savings and insurance coverage. There are $800 of Free Benefits and more than $20,000 of annual savings benefits. We provide each cardholder a printed, 60-page Benefits Directory, and a personalized 30-ml Card ID delivered by first-class mail. We communicate regularly with our members, create and publish content of value to veterans and their families on our website, blog, Facebook, and weekly newsletter, and maintain a call center to respond to member needs and questions.

Our cardholder fees fund 100% of our mission and card operations, particularly our work to partner with companies that will offer discounts on their goods and services as a thank you. We do not receive government grants or funding, and do not accept advertising dollars.

We do not charge companies to be included in our program. We ask them to provide the best possible discount to give back to those who serve. Our top partner companies help us get the word out, by including us in their marketing and communication channels, so veterans and military can take advantage of the valuable benefits we have assembled for them.
